Brian Day has spent a lifetime advocating for nature and learning about languages, music, crafts, history, stories and cultures across the world. He has written a number of non-fiction books:

Brian lives in Sussex (UK) and spends his time on wildlife conservation, working with native plants, birds, bats and other mammals, butterflies, bees and fungi. He runs regular wildlife walks and teaches people how to make their gardens more friendly to British wildlife. He has recently become interested in Clandistics and evolutionary genetics with reference to the re-classification of living and extinct organisms. He sings opera and folk, collects folk songs, and researches and writes on English and Celtic folklore and folk culture.
